How am I hearing this for the first time? Thoughts in my head as I listen... "wow... Wow!.. WOW!!!" Many thanks to an interview I heard recently with Floor Jansen where she mentions "The Gathering" as an early inspiration. Remember the feeling of finding a band you instantly fall in love with? That's what I'm feeling right now. Sorry I'm so late!

I had an absent mother for most of my childhood though while she fed, clothed and sheltered me, she was mostly there except emotionally which created a wound for me. I recall listening to this at 16, quite frequently i always lowkey associated it with her but was afraid to go there due to fear of abandonment and because i was still idolizing her. I'm not anymore and it's liberating to get those feelings out with these lyrics.
